President Bush actually (no, I'm serious) expressed doubt that the Bible is literally true , and even speculated that belief in god and evolution don't necessarily conflict in a recent interview.
Oh yes he did!
Obviously realising that his doubt will shock his supporters, Bush did allow that "evolution doesn't fully explain the mystery of life" in his view, revealing an appallingly poor grasp of simple biology.
Maybe life (and the creation of the earth, how those dinosaur bones got there and so on) wouldn't be such a "mystery" if you'd read a science book or two, eh Georgie-boy?
