Jaguar Update

Speaking of cooking the books ... since writing about Amazon's $50 (had to be a huge loss leader) rebate on sales of Mac OS 10.2 (aka Jaguar), they have now pulled that offer due to "overwhelming popularity." Oh, poor babies. Yeah, we wouldn't want some of your merchandise to be too popular, to attract customers, now would we? Didn't know there were that many Mac users, didya? The OS update only became the number-one-selling-thing on Amazon.com for the time the rebate was available. My heart bleeds for ya, Amazon -- ya numbskulls.

Luckily, MacWarehouse has stepped up to the plate with a $30 mail-in rebate. Sure it's not as much, but at least it's sustainable.
